


All Chiron Close Protection Operatives will have undergone the following UK Government security training over and above the private security training required to gain the SIA Close Protection license:
Security Guarding skills (static & mobile, armed and unarmed); Close Protection skills (unarmed & armed); Rural & Urban Risk Awareness; Foot and Vehicle security drills; Surveillance and counter Surveillance skills; Weapon handling; Map reading and Navigation; Terrorism modus operandi; Search Awareness; IED awareness; Counter Terrorism drills; Riot control; Incident management; First Aid and trauma medicine; Off Road driving; Communications and Conflict management; Unarmed Self Defence; Task reconnaissance; Task appreciation and planning; Route planning; Interpersonal skills and self discipline;

Security Guard (static & mobile) Team Leader; Control Room operative; Crisis management; Incident Commander; Report and statement writing; Methods of instruction; Advanced driver; Vehicle maintenance; Fleet manager; Surveillance and counter Surveillance instructor; Range management; Unarmed Self Defence Instructor; Map reading and Navigation Instructor; Search Advisor; First Aid and trauma medicine Instructor; Survival skills in Hostile Environments; Logistics and Administration; Information collation; Intelligence analysis; Physical Security Advisor; Risk Assessment; Close protection Team Leader; Advanced Close Protection Instructor.

As with any qualification there is a great variety of experience and skills. Chiron only provides people who are well trained and experienced in all aspects of security. Chiron considers the SIA Close Protection Training as the bare minimum requirement for anyone provided to perform Close Protection.
